Newest news in the news

So we haven't posted in awhile but a lot of things have happened in the last few months since.

We're kinda lazy dudes in that way.

So here's a rundown:

- Our new record "Goner" dropped June 22nd on Ironclad/Metalblade records.

- We're currently on tour with our good frienemies from L.A. (fuck dodgers!) The Funeral Pyre. This tour is a follow up to our last tour with them a couple years ago called the The Manifest Blasphemy tour. This is the sequel. Think of the part at the end of Terminator tour where Arnold shot a grenade into the T-1000 and turned him into a melted kids slide.

- Our AC kinda shat on us since tour started and we're slowly figuring out a way to get a kiddie pool in there instead.

- We're currently in Arizona and will be playing with Landmine Marathon, The Funeral Pyre and God Hunter at the the youth center called Skrappy's. Imagine if Gilman had twice the size and was more family oriented but at the same time still had a bunch of graffiti kids tagging in black books flippin each other off. Definitely not the worst thing I've ever seen.

- Hung out with Baby House Dogg last night and he kept stagediving on me throughout the whole night tryin to nom my ears off. He was so cute, Baby House Dogg could have become "Baby Tour Dogg" quite easily.

I'm gonna be updating this blog regularly from here on out and will let you know (should you give a shit) how everything is going.

Here's a picture of Skrappy's and all the info we have posted elsewhere:

early graves album

San Francisco's Early Graves have completed their follow up to 2008's debut We: The Guillotine. Their new record, simply entitled Goner, is a ragged, pissed off amalgamation of heavy self-medication, year long blackouts and all the depression of an a thousand yard stare.

Combining the best elements of Hellacopters/Turbonegro rock n' roll with Black Flag's and Bad Brains' inspired hardcore with a crushing balance of both Morbid Angel's heaviness and the raw intensity of power violence pioneers Dropdead and Masskontroll, Early Graves have set the bar for complete, unhinged self destruction.

"I don't know..." states vocalist Makh Daniels, "...I guess the record is about alcoholism... and all the bullshit that comes with it. All the 'why's?' and 'How come's?' and our stupid fucking excuses for it. I can't say that this will be the heaviest record you've ever heard or the best recording or the most musically precise but I can say that at least, it's fucking honest."

Goner was recorded at Louder Studios (Melvins, WITTR, Saviours) by Tim Green (The Fucking Champs/Nation of Ulysses) and mastered by John Golden at Golden Mastering. Artwork was completed by Nat Damm Design (Monotonix, Akimbo,The Fucking Wrath).

Goner will be released worldwide June 22nd, 2010 via Ironclad Recordings/Metal Blade Records.

- It's hotter than sin out here. I am personally wearing a vest with no shirt while typing this and as sexy as this might sound to some of you, I assure you it is truly not.

See ya'll out there.

what dipshit lumps Masskontrol with "powerviolence pioneers"? I can somewhat understand Dropdead, but Masskontrol? Ugggh.
